Long Eared Owl - asio otus

Long Eared Owls live mainly in woodland, especially conifer plantations. They are extremely nocturnal, very well camouflaged and are able to blend even more efficiently into their environment by fluffing up or flattening their feathers. Consequently, these shy and beautiful birds are rarely seen in the wild.
