This bird was found flying free in Newcastle. She was eventually caught and was brought to Trewitley Owl Trust. She is a captive bred bird and is comparatively tame; unfortunately, all trace of her registration number has either been deliberately removed or lost whilst she was living in the wild.
As you can see from the photograph, she is a particularly large and very beautiful bird and she seems to be settling in to her new environment well. Although we think that she was an escapee for a few weeks, she arrived with us in comparatively good condition and we hope that she will be able to go on school visits fairly soon.
