Very sadly, our Long Eared Owl, who has been to many schools and shows with us, died suddenly. She is a great miss to us all.
This year, so far, we have received only one young wild Tawny Owl (see June’s update). This is a great improvement on last year when during the late spring/early summer no fewer than 4 were handed in.
The Tawny Owl chick rescued last month continues to thrive. Its first ‘solo’ flight was a couple of days ago, so it will shortly be going into an outdoor aviary.
In June, we enjoyed a visit to Fordley Primary School in Dudley where we were made very welcome by the staff and pupils.
On 13th July we shall be at Netherwitton Village Show between 2.00pm and 4.00pm.
