  • Meet the birds at the Trust aviaries: The birds are housed in large individual aviaries; the captive bred birds are kept outdoors during the day where they can be seen close up and, some of them, handled. PLEASE NOTE that as the Trust is based at a working farm any visits must be
    BY APPOINTMENT.

  • Photography/Art Clubs: Visits to the birds on site where they can be photographed or drawn in a more natural environment.

  • Hawk Walks: take a stroll through beautiful countryside and experience the excitement of flying a Redtail or Harris' Hawk from your fist.

  • Local Shows: Birds of prey make a good feature at shows where they always generate a lot of interest.

  • Children's Parties: We can arrange to take some of the birds (usually the smaller owls) to individual parties. This option depends upon the suitability of the location.

  • Adopt an Owl: specifically aimed at children, this scheme allows for the 'adoption' of a bird of choice for a year. The adopter will be entitled to 4 visits to their bird (and the others) and will receive a quarterly newsletter and photographs of 'their' bird.

  • School Visits: We are happy to take a selection of captive bred birds to schools. The birds can be used as an example of the importance of environmental issues and conservation work in the countryside. The smaller birds (Barn and Tawny Owls) are also calm enough to make good 'models' for art or photography classes.
*All trustees hold a valid enhanced CRB Certificate and insurance is carried for on and off site activities.
